This week I’m starting on the Dijeh, a brilliant MS that I keep coming back to. I did a custom RE Dijeh for GBWC 2018, I have a second RE Dijeh, and then Bandai announced the HGUC version. Read on to see the steps I’ve taken to get this model ready for painting.

Replacing the main vernier
On the right you can see the ‘main vernier’ on the Dijeh’s backpack. It’s tiny and lame!! So I’m replacing it with a part from the ‘MS Builder’s Parts Vernier’ set (on the left). Here are all the relevant parts dissasembled. This will be very easy. First I cut off the so-called vernier as I need this red piece flat. It’s so dinky!! Here I’ve cut off the majority of it… … and here I’m filling it down. Then I glue the attachment piece from the Builder’s Parts set onto the red piece and I’m done. The vernier then plugs directly onto the attachment piece. It’s a bit loose, but should be tight enough after painting. Doesn’t that look so much more impressive!
Easy enough
Aside from the standard round of sanding, that’s all the pre-painting work. Next week I’ll get into the painting steps.
Thanks for stopping by!
